There are no good or bad seasons for visiting Phu Quoc Island. When the sea of the Saigon Phu Quoc Resort side (Island West) is calm from November to May, and not so calm of the other. The weather will be changed from April to October. The peak season is all the year. From November to May (for the oversea tourism), from June to October (for the domestic tourism).

Domestic postal rates are sinfully cheap; a domestic letter costs 800VND (US$ 0.05) to mail. International postal rates are similar to what you pay in European countries. If you would like to correspond with Vietnamese whom you meet during your visit, try leaving them enough stamps to cover postage for several letters, explaining that the stamps were extras you didn't use and would be of no value to you at home.

Although, Saigon Phu Quoc resort offers all Satellite TV channels such as ChJ (NHK), VTV3, PONIC, CETV, TV5 ASIE, MTV, Star Sports, CNBC, CNN. (Esp. Channel 9: CNN NEWS (6AM-6PM), CARTOON FILMS (6PM-7PM), WILD ANIMALS WORLD (7PM-9PM), OSCAR AWARD FILMS.
